Medical Surgical Services

The Medical Surgical Unit is where most patients are treated at the Medical Center when they stay overnight.  We serve children and adults who are in the Medical Center to receive treatment for illness and injury and those recovering from surgery. We offer private rooms.

Nurses on the Medical Surgical Unit have a variety of training and experience.  They work with physicians, dietitians, therapists and pharmacists to provide individualized care for each patient.

Patients and their families are involved in establishing priorities for care that best meets the needs of patients.  Education is an important part of our approach to caring for patients.  We believe each patient has the right to receive quality care, and the care our nurses provide is based on respect for the dignity and worth of each individual.
