Radiology

Halifax Regional’s Radiology department is located on the first floor of the Medical Center, just inside the outpatient entrance. The Radiology department provides quality images of the internal body that our physicians use to diagnose and care for our patients. Highly skilled technologists lead patients through the process of performing: X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasounds, mammograms and nuclear medicine.

Halifax Regional’s Radiology Department employs the use of a high-tech PACS system that allows clearer, closer digital images to be viewed.  The PACS system will also allow images to be shared, if needed, with your doctors and specialists electronically. 

The Radiology Department is open for outpatients Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 5:00 PM.  Staff is on call for weekends and emergencies.
