Contact Person: Henry F. Robertson New Surgeon Comes to Roanoke Valley
Dr. James Ketoff, board certified general surgeon, has moved his practice to Roanoke Rapids. Dr. Ketoff has joined Dr. Fred Wier at Roanoke Valley Surgical Associates at 97 Highway 125 to expanding the surgical services provided in the Roanoke Valley. Dr. Ketoff has an interest in working with dialysis patients and their surgical needs. He is also experienced with gallbladder removal, hernia repair, skin tumor removal, stomach, and colon surgeries. Dr. Ketoff will also perform vascular surgical procedures, a new service to the Roanoke Valley, which is vital to patients on dialysis. Until now patients needing the vascular surgery had to travel out of the area for this service. Patients needing hospitalization before or after surgery will be admitted to Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids. Dr. Ketoff has practiced in Franklin, Virginia since 1997. Dr. Ketoff is a graduate of the University of Iowa, and has completed numerous training courses in laparoscopic surgical procedures. “I am excited about the new practice and being associated with Dr. Wier,” said Dr. Ketoff, “The people of Roanoke Rapids have really given me a warm reception”.
