HRMC to Celebrate National Nurses Week

“Nurses: Compassion is my Strength”

Roanoke Rapids, NC- Halifax Regional Medical Center focuses attention on America’s 2.2 million Nurses through celebrating National Nurse Week May 6th through May12. Joining many healthcare facilities across America Halifax Regional Medical Center uses the theme “Nursing: Compassion is my strength” to highlight the many diverse ways in which the nursing profession work to care for and improve the health of everyone.

National Nurses Week begins May 6th with Nurse Recognition Day and ends on May 12 With the celebrating the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is considered as the founder of nursing as a modern profession.  The nurses at Halifax Regional Medical Center will be honored this week by a reception hosted by Karen Daniels, Vice President of Nursing and the Nursing Division.

Halifax Regional Medical Center promotes the advancement of the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting economic and general welfare and by Promoting a positive and realistic view of nursing.
