Rossi Named Manager at Halifax Regional
ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC – (April 26, 2007) – Peter Rossi, a registered nurse with 24 years of experience, has been named manager of Halifax Regional’s Medical/ Surgical and Pediatric Unit. “It is my privilege to join a team of talented and dedicated caregivers,” said Rossi. “The patient care that has been provided on this unit in the past has been great, and I want to work with the staff to make it even better.” “The administration has a great deal of confidence in Rossi’s abilities as a nurse leader,” commented Karen Daniels, Vice President of Nursing, “His experience, combined with his great attitude, will prove valuable to patients and caregivers. We are impressed with his leadership ability.” Rossi comes to Halifax Regional from Kingston, NY where he held a Nurse Manager position in the Operating Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Benedictine Hospital. Previously, Rossi was Assistant Director of Nursing at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ. Before graduating from nursing school at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ, Rossi was a Certified Scrub Technologist in the Operating Room at Riverdell Hospital in Ordell, NJ. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Administration from Dominican College in Blauvelt, NY. Rossi is a Veteran of the United States Navy. He resides in Wilson with his wife Deborah who is Chair of the Radiology Program at Edgecombe Community College.
