FIRST BABY OF 2007 BORN AT HALIFAX REGIONAL
ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC – (January 3, 2007) – The first baby of 2007 to be born at Halifax Regional is a healthy girl, named Nev’aeh Ar’nisa Freeman. The new addition to the family was born at 6:47 p.m. on January 1, 2007 and weighed six pounds, seven ounces and was 19 inches long. The new mom, Anita Powell, and father, Larry Freeman, of Littleton, NC are the parents. “I am really happy that she is here and healthy,” said Powell when asked about her new baby. “We had no idea that she was going to be the first baby of the year,” she added. For being the first parents of the New Year, Mrs. Powell and Mr. Freeman were presented with a gift basket which included a baby wash tub, Pampers, baby bottles, cloths and toys. The gifts were donated by Girl Scout Troop 310 of Roanoke Rapids, NC.
