HALIFAX REGIONAL RECOGNIZES THE SERVICE OF ED DEESE
ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (March 16, 2007)—Halifax Regional recognized the service of Ed Deese, who has retired from the Board of Directors of the Medical Center. Deese has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1998 and served on the Credentialing Committee. The committee reviews qualifications of applicants for the medical staff and recommends them for appointment. “Ed’s service to the Board of Directors has been invaluable,” said Hugh Bazemore, Board Chairman. “We will miss his insight and knowledge of medical affairs and his commitment to quality patient care.” “During my nine years of service on the Medical Center Board, I was greatly impressed with the way the facility was operated. The management has always emphasized a Patients First approach to patient care and they do everything possible to help the people of the Roanoke Valley,” said Deese. “I have been a patient at Halifax Regional a couple of times with various illnesses and feel that I could not have received better care anywhere else. The employees are compassionate and are fantastic at their jobs. If I get sick again, I am definitely going back,” he added. A member of Roanoke Rapids City Council, Deese is a retired administrator with the Social Security Administration. The Board presented Deese with a desk clock in appreciation for his dedication to the Medical Center. .
