Halifax Regional Creates Customer Service Position
ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC – (April 4, 2007) – Anne E. Kubley of Roanoke Rapids has joined Halifax Regional Medical Center in the newly created position of Guest Relations Manager. Kubley comes from the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce where she was membership services and event manager. She also has worked in the transportation, education, and lumber industries as preparation for her guest relations responsibilities. At Halifax Regional, she will develop a program to enhance the service to patients. She also will monitor the patient satisfaction program and identify and implement ways to improve the program. “This year Halifax Regional is increasing its commitment to taking care of patients in the manner that they want to be treated,” said Val Short, vice president. “We are branding ourselves as the “Patients First” Medical Center and hiring Anne Kubley is evidence of that commitment. Anne’s experience in a variety of consumer-orientated businesses will be beneficial to us as healthcare becomes more consumer-focused.” The Medical Center surveys patients and consumers to evaluate its service, as do most organizations. “We have learned from our patients that we provide outstanding healthcare, but there is room for improvement in our service,” Short continued. “Anne will lead us toward meeting the expectations of our patients.” “In today’s healthcare environment, patients have a choice in where they receive healthcare,” said Kubley. “At Halifax Regional, we have excellent physicians and nurses who are dedicated to improving the best possible care. We intend to improve our ‘customer service’ approach so more of them will recommend us as their hospital of choice.” Kubley graduated in August of 2000 from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She resides in Roanoke Rapids and is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Daniel Kubley of Roanoke Rapids.
