Halifax Regional Names New Manager of Joint Care Center
Mick Olesnevich Takes Leadership of the Unique Unit

 
ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC – (September 4, 2007) – Mick Olesnevich, a 12-year employee of Halifax Regional, has been named as the Manager of the Joint Care Center.

Olesnevich came to the Medical Center in 1995 as a nurse in the Intensive Care unit. He later was promoted to assistant manager and then manager of ICU. He was a nurse at a Rocky Mount hospital before coming to Halifax Regional. He is a graduate of Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing.

As manager of the Joint Care Center, Olesnevich works with the staff that cares for patents recovering from knee and hip replacement surgery. In the unique program, patients go through a challenging four day program designed to get them back on their feet quickly after surgery and back to an improved quality of life.

“Everyone working in the Joint Care Center knows their job well and performs at a high skill level,” said Olesnevich. “I look forward to working closely with the staff to see if we can improve what is already a very successful program,” he added.
