Smith Church Obstetrics and Gynecology Expands
James Brown, MD Joins Practice with Richard Minielly, MD.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC – (August 14, 2007) – James Brown, MD, a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, has joined Smith Church Obstetrics and Gynecology in Roanoke Rapids.

He is a graduate of the St. George’s University School of Medicine Granada, West Indies. He completed his obstetric and gynecological residency at The Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT.

Before coming to Roanoke Rapids, Dr. Brown was in private practice in London, OH. “I am looking forward to my new career at Smith Church OB/GYN,” said Dr. Brown, “I like the way that the practice is arranged and the people in the Roanoke Valley have been very welcoming since my arrival.”

“We are pleased to add Dr. Brown to the Halifax Regional Medical Staff,” said Will Mahone, President of Halifax Regional. “Dr. Brown is a fine addition to our very qualified staff of physicians who focus on women’s services” He will be practicing with Richard Minielly, MD at Smith Church Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Brown is moving into a new home in Roanoke Rapids and is becoming involved in the community. He has joined the Roanoke Rapids Lions Club.

Located at 63 Office Park Drive, Smith Church Obstetrics and Gynecology specializes in the medical and surgical care of women’s health and family planning. The practice is accepting new patients and referrals are not necessary to schedule an appointment.
