At Halifax Regional, a board certified dental physician is able to evaluate, diagnose, treat and tries to prevent diseases and disorders of the mouth and maxillofacial area and determines their impact on a person’s overall health.  Emergency and non-emergency surgical dental procedures are performed in the operating room.
